Choices, choices...how to proceed?
Well either way that you choose you will need to create an Artist Statement. This document is an important part of how you present your thoughts to the viewer and in most cases provide them with a raison d' être for the work that you are showing them. Artist statements are the perfect accompaniment for a series, so that should be what you work on immediately to accompany the show of your series works that we will start mounting next week. - First way- Your series has opened up a direction or theme for you that you want to keep expounding on.
- Second way- You have a mentor that you absolutely love and you want to make some work that acts as a "conversation"(we will discuss what this means) with that artist about some idea they present or technique that they use that really speaks to you.
- Third way- You have a great idea that you have been waiting to explore and you just need the time to do it.
